This new facilty will feature event spaces, NHS provision, three swimming pools, a gym and fitness studios.

This is our first steel package contract with Wates Construction. We have been scored 100% on safety to date, with 2 site visits from Wates Health & Safety, 1 visit from Senior Area Health & Safety and 1 visit from Hartlepool CDM Health & Safety. We are making great progress - on time and on budget.

On Monday 16th September 2024 a steel signing ceremony took place to celebrate the final piece of steel being installed. Wates & Hartlepool Borough Council marked the milestone with Gordon, Chris, Arvind, Alan & Katrina from GE along with other project partners signing the final steel member before it was hoisted into place. The frame is made up of over 1,800 pieces weighing more than 420 tonnes.

On Friday 4th October Wates held their regular Site Safety in Hartlepool, giving a project update and welcoming new contractors. Wates also award Operative of the Month which Arvind Pandiri our Project Manager won!
