Bespoke Steel Framed Houses
Being a bespoke one off design steel frame was chosen for strength and flexibility of design, none of the internal walls are load bearing meaning the internal layout is total flexible, in this instance the total centre section of the house being vaulted to the underside of the roof with bedrooms at either end linked by a custom made steel walkway suspended from the steel frame. The house at present has been designed with three bedrooms but should additional rooms be required due to the strength of the steel frame these could be accommodated within the vaulted centre section at a later date.
The steel frame was delivered and erected in one day with the roof structure being fitted next by other trades which allowed walls to be erected, floor etc to be laid all under a canopy meaning wet weather did not affect the programme. etc
The Steel structure means that structurally unlike timber frame construction additional openings for doors windows etc can be added or the house extended at a later date.
